Around half a century of growth The financial services marketplace is characterised by a bewildering array of choice, an ever growing number of providers and complex legislation.
Since its formation by Wyn Radcliffe in 1959 and Radcliffe & Co Life and Pensions in 1988, the objective of Radcliffe and Co Life & Pensions Ltd has been to provide clients - both corporate and individual - with the financial services solutions that best suit their unique circumstances.
Today the company has 17 fully trained, qualified and registered professionals that deliver informed, impartial and independent advice to a client base of over 15,000 individuals while administering the pension schemes of more than 100 different enterprises.
When the professional administration staff the company needs to support the work of its IFAs (Independent Financial Advisers) are included, Radcliffe & Co is recognised in the industry as a Large Regional IFA. This brings considerable benefits to clients, including the ability to attract the best terms available.

Succeeding by enabling our clients to do the same
To help clients achieve their objectives the company has been built on the firm foundations of the integrity and capability of its people, the quality of the services provided and the acquisition of smaller, local brokers whose standards match those of Radcliffe & Co.
The knowledge, skill and experience of the company’s advisers is pivotal. All of them have been known personally to the directors for at least five years. And each one is dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible service. Consequently, client retention is exceptionally high for our industry and no major client has ever felt the need to move elsewhere. Staff retention levels are also exceptionally high with the average length of service being eight plus years and growing. As a result, the company’s people develop an in-depth knowledge of its clients’ unique needs and objectives. |

A commitment to excellence
All the company’s consultants have demonstrated their commitment to both the provision of the best possible service to our clients and the standards set by the financial services industry by taking and passing the Financial Planning Certificate. This is only awarded after an examination requiring an in-depth knowledge of life, pension and investment business. The industry Regulator requires registered Independent Financial Advisers to achieve this qualification.
In addition, the company encourages all its consultants to study for the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate to enhance the technical skills offered to clients.
Furthermore, many support staff have taken and obtained Parts 1 and 2 of the Financial Planning Certificate, demonstrating their own commitment to providing the best possible professional service.

Peace of mind comes as standard
The company is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and is also a member of two trade associations. These are The IFA Association and the National Association of Pensions Funds (NAPF). NAPF represents the opinion of the pension industry as a whole, from corporate clients to insurance companies, and its views are widely respected.

The NAPF provides professional commentary, interpretation and guidance to its own members and the Government on pension issues, as well as the more complex changes and legislation imposed or proposed by the Inland Revenue. |
