Chris Selfe in his BMW Compact=

Chris is an experienced rally driver, having previously competed in a Ford Escort. He has been driving the BMW Compact since September 2007, competing in both local club slaloms and national stage rallies. He is joined by his co-driver Sarah who, although new to the sport, is quickly proving her map reading skills.

Also supporting the rally team are a service crew, who are on hand to deal with all mechanical issues on the day – whether it be changing the wheels or an emergency repair to a radiator hose.

The BMW Compact rally car is in fact a standard car fitted with a M50 engine and modified for rally driving – to withstand the inevitable knocks and bumps. The car competes in Class D, which is for cars with the largest capacity engines in excess of 2000cc.

Radcliffe & Co are delighted to be sponsoring the rally team and wish them every success in their 2011 campaign.
